This would be great functionality to have. Just to show it in the window, and a single click to open up a web browser to the article!

I like twhirl enough that I would love for it to be my one place to read all of my social networking updates (Twitter, Seesmic, Facebook, and Myspace). The Ping.FM functionality that is now included in Twhirl allows me to post to all four of those services, so I just need a good client to read from all those services.

Further I agree with the other posters that choosing the Default/Microblogs/Statuses/Blogs and custom triggers are important. It would be nice if we have chosen to have one of our account types as Ping.Fm, that twhirl reproduces the functions of the Ping.Fm web dashboard at the bottom of our twhirl window.

I think it is a VERY good idea to provide even more Ping.FM integration. Right now Ping.FM support is almost hidden under the Twitter Service. I would suggest letting it be its own account type in twhirl and when it exists let us set it so Ping.FM is doing all of our posting to Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, etc.

I second this. I had posted something similar in a comment on the Ping.FM controls vote page.
