Tweet display broken when a link contains an octathorpe

In my tweet http://twitter.com/IDisposable/statuses/1313095649 when displayed in Twitter or DestroyTwitter or similar clients, the post is complete and contains the URL. In Twhirl, the post is truncated after the ...

I suspect it is due to the octathorpe # in the url tripping up the linkifier.

And to be exact, the cause is the fact that the URL (which is unshortened) has a # that includes / characters (e.g. #album/xxxxx)
