the social software client

twhirl is a desktop client for social software such as Twitter, Friendfeed, identi.ca, or seesmic

I suggest you ...

application not remembering saved password

I have reported this previously via email.

I have configured one twitter account for twhirl to connect to. When I login, I select the checkbox for remembering my password.

However, if I immediately quit the app and restart it prompts me once again for my password with an empty password field.

Expected behavior is to start the app and auto-login with the saved usernames/passwords for remembered accounts.

Using v. 0.8.8I

twhirl also only remembers one twitter acct, so every time i start it, i have to add my accounts. I have 5 (only really use one), but i want the ability to use some of the others on a regular basis. one is strictly IRL friends, one is a professional acct, and two others are related to websites. please fix. the bigger screen to me meant being able to have all 5 open rather than a couple.

I didn't have an issue with 0.9 until I got a new imac running OS X 10.5.6. my old laptop has 10.4.11 and I never had this issue. it's annoying as I will sometimes boot to windows. Even more so as I have multiple accts and that's why I like twhirl (also for the very little screen real estate it uses). I've switched to tweetdeck for now as i mainly use one acct, but miss my multiple accts ability

No actually it would be "under Linux" as Windows has run on the PC platform longer, but really the bottomline is that there's something broken. And really it's just semantics since linux runs a windows emulator (my bet is it's broken there too).

Correction - on *Windows* it doesn't remember the password or ping.fm key. On Linux it saves it in my KDE Wallet.
