  This should be user configurable. I am not certain I would want to see 200 tweets loaded at startup.

  Yes please! I would love Twhirl to be my main twitter client but I have to use other clients for my first daily twitter session so that I can see everything that was tweeted through the night.

  I'd like to be able to load about 24 hours of tweets. In the morning I have to skim back through twitter.com to see what's been going on overnight.

  This needs to be combined with the other request to not reload already read messages so you can essentially see all the new messages after Twhirl has shutdown and restarted. Additionally, would be awesome to store this "read high water mark" somewhere on the web so my phone and various machines all know what I've seen.

  one of the best features of the twitterfon iphone app is that it loads way more than 20 of the past tweets. i get to catch up without having to go to the twitter website
