        I'm not exactly sure what the original meaning of this feature request was, but to clarify, the two ways that I interpreted were that 1) in the home screen, all @username mentions would be either one of two hyperlink colors, depending on if you follow them or not and 2) the replies pane would have a different background based on if you follow them or not. I would like both features.

        This idea is not only good, but can be done easily and fast, and is really practical.

        I agree I would also add that for searches that they should also be a different color as well. I just saw an inline message show up from someone who I don't follow. I was confused until I remembered that I started a search based on what was in the message.

        I keep forgetting that I don't follow everyone I've allowed to follow me, so I think this would be cool - but do we actually *get* @s from people we don't follow?
